Still doin' them push-ups
This week they have seemed harder. I'm having to take breaks in the middle of the sets or else I reach failure too early and can't complete the required number. Still getting through, though. Is that what counts? Why is exercise so mysterious? I never know if I'm doing things right. I'm looking at my arms right now, and they seem to be looking mighty fine to me (don't you love how muscle swelling gives you a little preview of what it will be like when you're all toned?), so something must be happening.
I'm glad I decided to do the squats challenge, too, though. I am FLYING through the squats. I alternate the squats with the push-ups so after sucking through a set of push-ups I can pump up my ego.
My gym is closed for renovation this week, so Boot Camp is cancelled. I hardly know what to do with myself. I felt so lost this morning.

Oh no! Gym renovation... Recommend emergency outdoor maneuvers.

Wow I read this and just remembered I had a dream about doing pushups last night! I dreamed that I could do like 20 and it wasn't that hard! Unlike real life. My subconscious must be telling me something...

Wait... work out... OUTSIDE?! It's like, hot out there!
I've actually just been enjoying a week off. I bike or walk to and from work, which is a nice easy 5 miles round trip. I'm doing my push-ups. I'm doing my squats. It's just strange not getting up and hitting it hard twice a week like usual.
I did discuss the possibility with my husband of doing a 6 a.m. outdoor boot camp tomorrow in the park behind our house. I'm wondering if maybe I will like burpees better when everyone can see how awesome I am for doing them when NO ONE IS MAKING ME.
