Workout
High Voltage
I really can't describe the energy today at Ride the Zone in East Hampton. You truly would've had to been in today's 10:30 team zone with Marion and Carrie to really appreciate the unbelievable vibe that touched everyone in the community. It started with the out pour of sweaty, exhausted, beautiful bodies from Daryl's 9:30 class(man can he dance!), the cheerful girls behind the desk, and then the arrival of my favorite spin buddies. I love exercising with inspiring people so I was so happy to see them. It was an advanced group so the buzz was high before class even started.
Carrie and Marion led an intense ride with friendly competition. Marion and Carrie were both on fire, warm up was brief and we went into a fast rise up with resitance heavier than a flat; black and red team racing against one
another to "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson(Best Break Up Song Ever). Carrie took both teams into rolling hills and then to a climb adding resistance seven more times. We stayed on the climb into " Like a Prayer"
which was so intense I thought I may vomit--and no, I was not hungover. Finally, raced down hill, did upper body work, switched back and forth while
adding resistance back on to California Girls(which may give the Black Eye Peas some competition for song of the summer). I was shocked when they
announced we were riding into our end zone; the class flew by. They blasted "open your eyes" by snowpatrol and I climbed while falling into my own zone and released the resistance when the tempo picked up and raced to the very last minute of my class. Today was one of the top five rides I've experienced at RTZ. The synergy was amazing! Then I took restorative yoga with Jessica downtown stairs. It's a great combination.

Like a Prayer and then Restorative...again...jealous much : ) Your summer sounds so divine- next summer I'm plotting a way to make it out there for an extendend period of time so we can play by sur la plaga.

Like a Prayer is a long song on an excrutiating climb, but the song carried us to the down hill with no problem. I'm still in awe with my ride today. Summer 2010 at RTZ is Hot.
