Workout
Raw artichokes are pretty good
Here is how I worked out my ankles on Monday:
- rocking 3 and a half inch missoni heels an running around midtown
- running a couple of miles
- doing 3 sets of 20 tricep curls and then 3 sets of 20 bicep curls, while doing squats on a bosu trainer
- wedging myself against a balance ball in lots of positions for ab exercises that still hurt me today.
- stretching
And here is how I ate an artichoke: raw. It was a bit prickly because I wasn't overly careful, but it was good. Better I dare say than the usual preparation of artichoke (either slimy from a can, overly steamed, drenched in butter, or creamed into oblivion with spinach in a nasty dip). I now know what an artichoke is supposed to taste like.
Sometimes, when you need a bosu, you have to score a free pass from your former gym membership director to get to a fitness floor. I sit on a balance ball all day at work, and have been caught more times than my coworkers care to see doing ab exercises, planks, and pushups with my ball while wearing business casual. But I was given an ankle directive, and that meant the gym. Or I guess I could have done yoga. Downward dog. I feel like yoga pretty much meets all of our SW-e-AT requirements. But then I feel like a cop out for thinking, oh, i'll just do some sun salutations and call it good.

watching philadelphia, or you're in philadelphia?
i too think you can fill almost all of the SWeATs with sun salutations. I kind of like that about it - if you're in a pinch, just do some yoga and you're set.
