Summer Day 34, Assault on my body part 2
7am spin. I hate when I miss this class bc its so fun!
4pm kettlebells. Class was so crowded! I am getting smarter/lazier and taking lighter weights.
5pm Muay Thai. Good thing Coach has been taking kettlebells too. :) Padwork, bagwork. Working on long knees and teeps.
6pm Arnis. I am waiting for Arjarn to get back bc I don't like what we've been doing lately. Its too intense, too much to take in and most importantly too much violation on my personal space.
Jetted to BK for Capoeira. We were doing this quexada/negativa/cabecada thing. I didn't get it. I don't like playing like this. So, in the Roda today which I didn't play much, people were trying to play aggressive and I really just found myself resorting to Muay Thai. And if someone wanted to cabecada me I really just wanted to push them across the entire Roda. I am over people who want to play like that.
The other night one of my MT coaches asked me "what are the benefits of Capoeira" and I realized...there aren't any. I just end up getting hurt or bruised! And I gotta take all the cliquey b.s. that comes with it. I do still like something about it...just saying...
p.s. I should take tomorrow off, but I'm not!
Went to the movies with B. Woody Allen's "Whatever Works". LOVED IT. Wood Allen movies are always great!
