Summer 13, spending more time outdoors.

A Sunday off...will not be a common occurrence for me this summer, sadly. Decided to have brunch on St. Mark's Pl. like the good ol' days in my life. Afterward, shot around the b-ball at Chrystie St. I love those courts. They are really the nicest. I haven't really messed around with b-ball for about 5 years so was definitely a little rusty. But I still completed feat #27, and shot better percentage wise than "the Shaq" record, although I really thought he had improved his record from 50%? Maybe they got him confused with Ben Wallace...anyways bf and I played around the world -I won! And HORSE -I lost...And overall I am really appreciating and getting into this whole working out outdoors thing. Its awesome! I believe I musts credit my Capoeira practice to this new love of mine.

Headed to Flushing and did a 1 hour Muay Thai workout with my big bro to break in our new Thai pads! On the drive home my dad was talking about how him and my mother joined the pool in Flushing Meadows and my dad was getting his athlete on. It was funny to hear my dad talking about his workouts, since its been awhile for him being active. But he was telling me how he was working himself up to swimming 6 laps in the Olympic sized pool. Go DAD!

Foodlog:
brunch: 2eggs over easy, 1 pita, cucumber/tomato salad, labna cheese
snack: vita coco water, pumpkin "cake"
snack: carmel frappaccino sans whipped cream
dinner: roasted chicken, pork adobo w/chesnuts, chinese spinach, bihon noodles w/shrimp, water chesnuts w/beef (yes I ate beef!)
dessert: 1 scoop of vanilla icecream
snack: small cup of mac n cheese :)
