Eat. Drink. Exercise.
I can't remember what I did on Tu. Worked, I think. But didn't workout, I don't think.

SoWo 2.0 looks great but doesn't like my laptop.
M. No morning workout, but once the sun peeked out and warmed things up I got out there before "lunchtime", for C25K's week two, workout one, done in 22:45.

Workout
Running, yes. Boxing, no.
Th. I couldn't be EFF'd to get out this morning (rain...lots of it...reckon this winter's been the wettest in some 12 years or so), but it cleared up a bit here and there in the afternoon, sooooo....

Workout
Okay, I'm running again.
Tu. Morning workout, about 20 minutes. Workout one, week one of the C25K running plan, bc...(drum roll)...I finally signed up for a 5K run. I have approximately 10 weeks to get my arse back into shape.
Weather: Clear and cold but not too breezy. Music: The Presets "Apocalypso" Mood: Yeah, good.

"...Take each day as it comes..."
Su. Morning workout, 60-minute walk around town. Clear, cold, with an icy breeze. I was rugged up head to toe. I couldn't believe I actually got out there, but I was really putting it hard on myself last night while I organised my clothes and shoes near the bed by the heater and set the alarm. "I'm getting out there in the morning, like it or not. No excuses.

Winter and sore shoulders SUCK(!) my left toe
Tu. No morning workout. Evening workout: circuit at Tabor, 60 minutes. I did lots of extra cardio to keep warm...the hall was so flippin' icy cold.
I've been pretty slack for a few days. My right shoulder is still giving me some grief. The rains have discouraged me from doing anything outdoors. :(

Goodbye, MMM! Hello, new challenge!!
F. No morning workout. My energy level is sort of ka-put at the moment. The weather is still cold and crappy...the weather does really affect my moods something fierce. I try to avoid the dumps by staying active, but sometimes it just feels better to lounge in front of the woodheater.
Workout
Clean. Clean. Clean. Workout!
Th. Another rainy, cold, crappy day. Who wants to get up and work out when you can feel the house shaking from the wind and hear the frigid rain pelting the roof? Bleh.

I just did 60 more minutes of Boxing, Kick Boxing, & Other Martial Arts!

"Lazy" vs. "recovery"?
W. No morning workout. Just couldn't get up. My shoulders are so sore. :(
One client today, then I came home and lounged in front of the fireplace until evening reading, surfing the 'net, and snoozing.
Evening workout: boxing circuit at the hall, 60 minutes.
Workout
Ouch, still sore. :(
Tu. Morning workout, 38:35. The regular warmup, followed by the "Work Your Butt Off" workout. Stretches, then 5 sun salutes.
My shoulders and back are still sore from the other day.
Evening workout, circuit at Tabor, 60 minutes.

I've always said living in big cities, despite being surrounded by a gazillion people, were the lonliest times in my life. I remember thinking, when my husband and I were squashed on the tube in London, "Imagine if we were all friends on this train--what a party we'd be having right now." But instead we were all looking at the ground or staring off into space or reading the paper or blasting our iPods--isolating ourselves from each other. Sad.
I can't really suggest places to meet people in Berlin. My husband's not exactly the socialable-type, either, so when he was there his aim wasn't exactly to meet people. But he adores the city nonetheless and suggests milling around places like the Eastside Gallery, The Story of Berlin Museum, flea markets (and this site might have some more helpful ideas of things to do/see), and the underground bunker at the Gesundbrunnen U-bahn station (I can't seem to find a link for that, but I'm sure you'll be able to find some info about it).
Needless to say, my husband's a bit of a WWII-enthusiast.
As for your runs out there...chin up! It'll surely get easier for you as the time goes by. ;)

That's so cool you're in Berlin. My husband was just there a couple months ago.
Anyway, this is what I do when I'm away from home: wander around in the evening with a route in mind for the morning. Then I'd run that route in the morning, stop somewhere like at a playground or just a clear area and do a circuit (thought out, of course, the night before) followed by some sun salutes, then run back. Takes around 40 minutes--give or take--then you're done for the day. Go and enjoy good quality German beer and see the sights.

I'm out. :( I don't mind doing five sun salutes a day, but I'm not interested in doing 35. I wasn't around for the summer challenge last year, but if it was anything close to the feralicious challenge, then I'd like for the next challenge to be like that. I loved the pull-ups and push-ups and squats and sprints, and experimenting with different foods and cooking....

Then why is it during and after meetings with my annoying gabby coworkers I suffer the worst headaches ever in my life? I reckon social interaction is indeed essential, but I'll take it in very small doses, thanks.

michlny--Clean, whole foods all the way. Crappy, processed foods never pass my lips.
msh258--I am very interested in the paleo-philosophy, but I've been vegetarian most of my life (except I eat fish here and there--I guess I'm really pescetarian). You're right; while reading up on I.F., I did come across a lot of paleo-followers and they practice I.F. quite frequently. To practice listening carefully to your body is really ideal, I agree.

Update: TSH #: 1.43
I think I have just been too hard on myself, letting a lot of things get to me lately, and my body's just telling me to knock it off. Relax. Chill.
Thanks for the feedback, though. I wouldn't have bothered ringing for those numbers had it not been suggested to me. I <3 social workout!

Yep, thyroid was checked, too. Normal. I think I may ask to be re-tested when I see him next month, though.
It would be good to know that it's only stress-related and by the end of the month I have it under control with deep breathing exercises and meditation. Then I can refocus and get back to reaching my fitness goals.

Apparently they rock the "Skinnytini" world. I wouldn't know by experience (but I do still dream....); Skinny Water is still nowhere to be found in Australia.
Drat.
