Workout
Ran with the dog then did hot downward dogs
Ran in Central Park for 30 minutes then went to a 75 minute hot yoga class.
Workout
running in the rain
Sunday I ran for about 15 minutes dodging raindrops because I was sans umbrella. Since my head and shoulders are bigger than the space between the raindrops I failed miserably at staying dry and gave up. That was my extreme exercise for the day but I did log 45 minutes of being walked by my dog. It's definitely a good upper body workout.
Workout
Yoga Ball workout
I got quite a workout inflating the damn thing. It came with a small pump that took about 40 minutes to inflate the ball. Then I saw that it was missing the plug. So while I tried to jerry rig the hole I lost some air and had to pump again for about 15 more minutes. This turned out to be a pretty good upper body workout.

Workout
Being walked by my dog
This is more exercise than I had anticipated. Walking my foster dog, Bella, for 20-30 minutes 3 times a day, sometimes 4 times. She is 50 pounds and hasn't quite accepted the fact that I am supposed to be the leader.
She's only a year old so I walk her briskly, sometimes we run, so I can exhaust her.
Workout
Heavy sweater
After wearing heavy sweaters for so long I decided to take a hot yoga class and be a heavy sweater. So that's what I did for 90 minutes on Saturday and mastered the downward sweatdog.

This was a bit of a challenge since we are so used to flipping switches all the time.
Luckily my apartment is never in total darkness since I get light coming in my livingroom from the streetlight out front. So I didn't bump into things on my way in.
It was very peaceful being in a quiet home, except for the ambulence siren that wailed for a minute.
These were the days I took my bubble/mineral baths since I usually take them by candlelight anyway.
Instead of watching TV or listening to the radio I read and did crossword and sudoku puzzles. Then I went to sleep early so I could get the requisite number of sleep hours for the sleep challenge.

The last of my 4 baths last night. I used my dead sea bath salts. Every time I get in the bath I say I should do it more often. This once a week routine was a great start.

I had to get to work early this morning. I had to wake up at 6AM. That doesn't happen so often. Now I need to get to work early tomorrow and will have to wake up at 6:30.
So now I will just do it for 5 more days and have this challenge nailed. The weekend will be the most challenging. But at least I will make it to the farmers market early.

I love my sweets, although, I don't eat any refinbed sugar. I'm sorry that agave is not allowed either. So to satisfy my sweet tooth I had a week of grapefruit and/or oranges with goji berries. No sugar, agave, stevia, any sweetener added.
I realized that I'm plenty sweet already.

I've been bringing my food scraps to the Union Sq Farmers Market for years now. I keep them in the freezer in a plastic bag, sometimes, but I will also keep them in an old food container.
Not only can you compost food scraps but you can also compost hair.

I'm vegan so I don't eat fish. I could buy mock fish at a store in Chinatown and cook with that. Mock fish and seafood are on the menu in a some veggie and vegan restaurants. Would that count? I will gladly eat the faux fish and seafood 3x a week.

But red wine is good for you. Darn it, I just had a glass tonight. Can I take the rest of the month off? But red wine has all those good things, like polyphenols and resveratrol. Hmmm, what's a social workout member to do?
Geez, now I guess I have to make my bed every day.

This is an easy one. I'm vegan. Although I mostly buy the mock meats for my carniverous friends and family, I just bought Tofurkey (vegan) Italian Sausage for this social workout. I guess I will make a vegan paella. I am accepting reservations. But sorry, no alcohol will be served, and no sugar, only whole grains.....

I have bamboo in my living room and kitchen. I have 2 leafy green plants, probably native to the rainforest, in my living room and bathroom. I talk to them and water them and they keep growing. I think they might take over my apartment.

Today was my first day in this competition and I decided to make it a raw day.
Kombucha for breakfast.
Lunch was a red pepper soup. It was very delicious if I do say so myself. I needed to use up some beautiful red peppers before they wouldn't have been so beautiful. So I decided to blend them in the Vitamix with almonds, coconut water, filtered water, onion, cilantro and a pinch of salt. It was totally raw, room temperature and delicious.
Dinner, since I was lazy, was from Bonobos on 23rd & Madison. I got the nutmeat salad and succumbed to temptation by my favorite dessert - Coconut Chai.
