Workout
Bringing back the step...
Shape has finally come to Australia! I just got the August issue and went straight for teh express workout - which required a step... Who has a step these days??? My mom had a step back in 1985, I don't think you can even find one at the sporting goods stores here... So I had to make one myself. I filled a box I recently got my birthday packages in with books and flipped it upside down.
I just did 40 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 30 more minutes of Yoga, Meditation, Chanting!
I just did 30 more minutes of Dancing, Pilates, & Aerobics!

Workout
Lots and lots and lots of walking
So I know that a workout is only a workout if there is intent, but I just got back from a long weekend at the Gold Coast and according to my fitbit between Saturday and Monday I walked over 70,000 steps - so I think this qualifies as a workout....
Workout
Bringing back the Thousands and some Yoga
I've created my own challenge and I'm bringing back the Thousands - push-ups, crunches, lunges, and squats. I did 200 crunches, 70 lunges, 75 squats, adn 65 push-ups (all in reps with breaks inbetween) and then 45 minutes of yoga followed by a mini meditation.

I'm happy to hear about some new community challenges - I need that to stay motivated - I haven't loved the new format so I haven't really been posting - so excited to try the new one and hopefully get my motivation back!

I've subscribed to this post about a month ago - its like a train wreck - its gross, but you keep looking... And the guest post from Japan made me want to move there, if those kids are happy to eat sushi, and other "exotic" foods, why can't American kids like them as well? I think we don't give picky kids enough credit.

Thanks for the link! Now I'll have to find a new play ground to go do some practice (just moved and not yet familar with the new neighborhood). My local gym offers a free class on Wednesday mornings so I did that this morning, and I'll have to look into a trial membership. My meal was just simple roasted veggies (beet root, potato, onion, and carrots) with some local cold pressed olive oil. Nothing fancy, but it is yummy.

so what is the unit of measure here - I put in 30 for 30 minutes and it gave me a check - was I supposed to enter this in hours????

@llaves - I'm just vego and its summer here and I thought it was hard - My first meal for this feat was roasted veggies which was good, but not high in protein. I considered doing it just for breakfast - having some fruit every day, but that's not great for the environment either... And I agree the problem is these days local is the only way you can find non-processed foods - no tofu, or canned or even dried beans or lentils. Good luck!!!

165 cm. I'd love to do just one pull-up as well, but that will be a miracle.

I am also excited about a challenge that is really challenging.
lizh - I had the same concern - I'm thinking of going to the neighbourhood playground for the pull-ups, they usually have something you can hang off of, just have to bend your knees to accommodate the height difference.

Me too - I skipped the Love challenge (wasn't really my thing) so I am ready for this next one.
And thanks I need all the buddies I can get to help me stay motivated!

Third time is the charm, After messing this up on the last day the first two weeks I finally made it on the third. I'm planning on keeping up with it through the rest of the challenge though as it really helps keep me on schedule.
