I Heart These...
Sprained F*ing Ankle!
So...on April 21st I sprained my ankle...6 days into the challenge-AND I don't have internet at home so I haven't been able to do anything since then.
I AM going back to Zumba tomorrow-I had to make a quick jog across the street chasing a dog and it didn't feel too bad, so I'm doing it. I don't care what my husband says.
I just did 60 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 60 more minutes of Dancing, Pilates, & Aerobics!
I just did 60 more minutes of Dancing, Pilates, & Aerobics!
I just did 15 more minutes of Weightlifting, Circuit Training & CrossFit!
I just did 20 more minutes of Running and Walking!

Zumba yay!
This may be a little premature, but I know that I will be heading off to my first Zumba Gold class in about 15 mins. I missed class Monday so i am excited.

Wish I could go more than once a week. :(
Worked up a sweat at Zumba today. I'm bummed that I only get to go once a week. Fortunately a late class will be starting next wednesday so hopefully I will get to go after work.
I want to start going to the class before Zumba too, but I worry it may kill me. It's a cardio and toning class. Maybe I'll work up to it.

I recorded some hip hop thing off of Fit Tv this morning...I felt a little silly, I'm just not able to bring myself to not feel silly working out at home. I also kept getting interrupted by my dog who was apparently afraid of my flailing arms.

Early AM Stretching
Woke up about 15 mins early for a little workout-it ended up being 5 mins of snooze and some stretching, but it felt great nonetheless.

I think I'm gonna fall short. :(
Took some time out to still chip away at these damned push ups, squats etc. I'm pretty sure at this point that I'm going to fall short and it's bittersweet.

Ooohh this is starting to feel good!
Another Zumba workout. It's getting easier with every class. i was able to really focus on keeping my abs tight and not have to take the easy way out halfway through every song.
I need to get some new workout clothes and shoes. I think I am committed enough to invest some more $$.

Back to Zumba
I got to go to Zumba this morning for the first time in 2 weeks. My work schedule just didn't allow me the time to get to a class. So not only did I knock out some of the feats, I had a great time.

Got out of bed with one less snooze so I could knock out some of the push ups etc that I am seriously lagging on...and am still seriously lagging. I will have to do some in the bathroom at work or something. :)

Getting Back On Track
Managed to get out for a walk today at lunch. It wasn't as long as I wanted it to be since my husband tracked me down cause he wanted to bring me a sandwich-then my dad found us on the walk back to work since he lives in the neighborhood...I guess I'm a hot commodity!

Woohoo! 3 days in a row!
Made it to the park with Tank again on my lunch break...we did 2 big laps today cause the weather was so nice!

Funny...I noticed that my pants were baggy while I was in Zumba class today too. Congrats!

I totally feel you on this one. It's depressing how hard the challenge really is. A few of my meals have been from a restaurant that I know everything is fresh from scratch. I have to pay someone else to get me through this challenge.
One of my lunches was some chicken and an apple.
While beer may not count as a meal...I think it should still be considered natural. :) It's delicious-and fermenting is a natural process. It has saved countries when their water supply was too poor to drink! Maybe next month we can have a beer challenge?

I myself am overweight and am in the process of making changes to be healthier-whether that be the "ideal" weight for my height or just what makes me feel good, I haven't decided yet.
Being 26 and overweight is no fun, I am grateful for stores like Torrid that at least allow me to dress the way I want to and feel good in my clothes and also because I am one of the smaller sizes there so it let's me live in la la land while I'm shopping.
HOWEVER, I hate stores like Torrid because it makes it too easy to stay the same size and not care.
I guess for some people it's easier to use it than lose it-Praise the Lord that's not me! I promise myself and all of you I will never be bigger than I am right now...and in 20 pounds, I will never be bigger than I am in 20 lbs. and so on.

I just don't spend enough time out with my dogs. So my challenge for the month, now that the weather should be nicer(ish) is to get out with the dogs at least 10 days.
I'm a newbie so I don't want to set myself up for failure.
