the good, the bad, and the ugly
The good: 90 minutes at the gym. machines, cardio, stretching...i was so there. It was more than a little ADD (ok, let's do Abs! and then arms! and then run! oh...i hate the treadmill....lets Erg!) but after a week of not going? it felt awesome.

so, to take advantage of the low temperatures and pleasant humidity level (as opposed to the last week where it left like the greater DC area was in someone's armpit), i went for a jog.
...and just couldn't stop.
4.25 miles. which is pretty big for me. i walked some, but not too much. and got in some sprintwork, mostly because i was dodging morning rush-hour traffic.

Seriously. Work has been kicking my ass more than any workout I've gotten in over the last two weeks. Plus, it's hot as the hinges of Hell in northern Virginia. But I had great plans for the weekend: chisel'd class on Saturday with Gia-Ninh, followed by shopping, and skinny jeans class with Lisa on Sunday followed by work.
Both classes? Squat-erific.

struggling to get the exercise in
45 minutes before work, doing the grrrrr workout Lisa sent me. squats, flyes, jumping rope, and those teeny tiny crunches that kill yer abs. So, only 45 minutes, but a good workout.
and this? marks my 101st workout of the year. yay, milestone!

dance class on my birfday
danced for an hour on my birthday with the singers. it might be my last chance, as the schedule is getting pretty darn full. but moving around in an artsy-kind-of-way fully reinforced how lucky i was to be a year older, and to know that my body can still mooooove!

OH THANK GOD. I know that I'm bashful, but usually have a pretty big tolerance for quirks in all walks of life, including the locker room. But this? Totally left me speechless AND fairly pissed at my own discomfort level. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who thinks it's Capital-w-Wrong.
