Workout
"Paparazzi" - Lady Gaga
Did a great workout at the local gym post Chrismas both the 26th and 28th. This song has been on my brain as it is playing an awful lot in Michigan. Did an hour of cardio both days and 20 minutes of abs and strength.
Workout
"Mele Kalikimaka" - Bing Crosby
Did and amazing climbing workout for 20 minutes and 30 minutes on the treadmill. Did 20 minutes or so on abs and strength training. Worked extra hard to make some extra forgiveness room for Christmas cookies and other noshes. Merry Christmas everybody!
Workout
"Sooner or Later" - Zaza
So I packed up my snowboard bag and I have to schlep it to the airport by way of walking, subway and Airtrain. Looking forward to it as a workout. But in any case, started my day out at Crunch doing 30 minutes on the Arc Trainer, 35 minutes on the elliptical and then about 20 minutes of abs. Gotta do some extra work, as I have a few Christmas cookies in my future.
Workout
"Winter Sleep" - A Cloud Mireya
Had a nice day of sleep yesterday. Worked out today for 30 minutes on the arc trainer and then 30 minutes of climbing. Winter's here!
Workout
"Alive" - Pearl Jam
Assisted an hour and a half yoga class today with some fun little kiddies. Taught them some great Vinyasa and helped them make some Yoga Snowflakes. So cute.
Workout
"Action/Reaction" - Choir of Young Believers
Ran 35 minutes on the treadmill after walking all around the city with my friend today. Followed up a great run with an abs session. Iron Core!
Workout
"Dirty Work" - Steely Dan
Worked it out on the elliptical for 45 minutes today followed by 15 minutes on the bike. Ride faster, get stronger.
Workout
"Burden in My Hand" - Soundgarden
Worked on abs today and then weights for 20 minutes. Did the stair climber for 25 minutes. That thing is a burden in my hand for sure. Then did 30 minutes on the elliptical.
Workout
"Funkin' for Fun' - Parliament
Was able to do 25 minutes on the treadmill today and then 20 minutes of climbing. Spread the joy, spread the funk.
Workout
"City of Angels" - 10,000 Maniacs
Did a great abs workout today. Now I will let then rest a day and then do another one on Wednesday. Did 40 minutes on the elliptical cross country setting. Did 20 minutes of weights.

I kicked diet soda a while ago secondary to the aspartame. Not down with formaldehyde. But I didn't drink Mexican Cokes... which I love for a whole month. Ole'. Might need one of those now and again. Despite the cane sugar... they rule.

Got a pin from a friend a long time ago that said... Mc S*&t. That about sums it up. Grew up on this stuff for sure, but when you hear that there are 15 some odd ingredients in a McNugget... something seems a little wrong with that logic.

I was on a time crunch when I posted regarding riding my bike in downtown Detroit. For anyone who has the opportunity to do this... take advantage of it! It's totally awesome abd you have an entire downtown city to yourself, just watch the potholes (Michigan seems to be notorious for them). Started out on Belle Isle and rode to Tiger Stadium (go Tigers!), then made my way over to Eastern Market, the Detroit Institute of Arts and Hart Plaza to name just a few places. Of note, you will definitely get some curious looks. You will also be asked by numerous folks in vehicles - directions of how to get to different landmarks, streets, etc. I guess because you are bananas enough to enjoy riding a bike downtown, they assume you must live near-by and who in their right and sound mind would travel from the subarbs to Detroit of all places to ride their bike. Well, I did and can't wait to go back and add Indian Village onto the ride. Had a smile on my face the whole time. I will always love Detroit!

Somehow today we were 204... so bumped a little down the list. 48%... not 47%.

Hi, Saw your comment about the bike riding. You might want to check this out. Definitely nerve-free.

Depending where you live, there are a few places to rent bikes in the city. You could also rent a bike in Central Park on the weekends. I just started riding more and more and that's been helpful on making me less nervous. My bike is no great shakes, just 2 wheels that get me from point A to point B. Good luck. Wish you the best. Completed this at the beginning of the challenge and like to do this one alot. The hot song that started it all... Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' - "Always believe in your soul. Youve got the power to know... Youre indestructable...Always believe in,because you are
Gold!". Totally amazing.

Sooooo funny.
1.)I wear running tights (not sure why they call them that because they are essentially leggings), leggings, sweatpants... all in black. No worries though - nothing sheer. Tights (real tights) are for under leotards and dresses, but not as actual workout bottoms by themselves. If peeps are wearing sheer tights... well I'm not too sure about that idea, but maybe the folks wearing them don't realize they're sheer? Or maybe they want to give a little show? Work it ladies!!
2.) They're mad comfy and they keep my legs warm. I guess that would be my most honest answer. If I had 7 pairs of my favorite PUMA track pants... then I would probably just wear those. But, alas I don't.
3.) Wasn't super aware, but then I usually have my businees not hanging out and wear a long enough t-shirt or tank.
4.) If peeps want to stare, I say go for it, doesn't mean I'm gonna look back and wink or anything. I workout 6-7 days a week so it's in shape. If someone's really creepin' I'd make sure I move away and give them the stank eye. Ha!
