Totally Worth It

The weather lately has been a little "meh". Especially yesterday: windy & chilly. The kind that makes me just want to stay on the couch and watch TV. And I did just that until I looked out the window to see the sky was clear and there was no more wind. I am going for a walk. My husband: "I thought you were tired" Me: "I am, I just feel like it" and for the first time in almost 3 months I went for a walk. A walk for exercise, not just to get somewhere. As I was walking a lady that was coming towards me was gesturing to something behind me. I stopped and she said "Did you see the full moon?" I turned around and there it was, just rising over the buildings, big and bright. I'm sure glad I went for that walk.
Thinking is way easier than doing
Thought I'd really get into shape this summer. Thought I'd be working out in the morning and losing weight. Eating well and drinking less.
I just did 55 more minutes of Weightlifting, Circuit Training & CrossFit!
I just did -55 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 60 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 21 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 55 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 21 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 41 more minutes of Running and Walking!
I just did 14 more minutes of Running and Walking!

Workout
Bootcamp #3
Not as intense as the last two, it was still hard but we didn't do much running around so my heart rate didn't get up there. My legs are sore from doing Jane Fonda-esque exercises.
The weather was nice for the first time too, it was nice doing crunches with the sun in my face.
Workout
Victoria Loop - Slow but I did it.
I was gonna blame my highschool art teacher for slowing me down yesterday morning (I 'ran' into him) but after I made it up the Glenora Hill I had no more energy to run. So I walked the rest of the way... I did manage to pick up the pace half way up the Golf Course Stairs though.
Workout
Bootcamp # 2
forgot to enter a workout for my last bootcamp
we did some stuff with resistance band... my arms hurt a lot for a couple days.
Workout
went to the gym
did 15 minutes of running then a 30 minute weight workout
Workout
Victoria Loop - fastest time so far
I tried posting this lastnight and it didn't work I guess.... I keep getting a page of code when I post from home, maybe it has something to do with posting just a link?
I'll try it this way:
My run on RunKeeper
Workout
Weak attempt at the gym.
Had to go to the gym because the weather was quite unpleasant yesterday after work. Started out on the treadmill and I got tired so fast, I gave up after about 20 minutes. To make my time at the gym not a total waste I went on the recumbent bike and made myself do a steady 20 minutes there.
Workout
First bootcamp ever.
Yesterday I found my myself waiting at a park for the instructor and classmates of what would be my first bootcamp. Over the course of 50 minutes my worst fears turned into mini triumphs.

I'm all for 24-hour gyms, but being outside by yourself in the middle of the night... is it safe?
I'm not comfortable being outside at night in my city of not even 1 million people, I can't imagine what it's like in New York - I guess if there are a lot of other joggers out that can keep an eye on eachother, that would be different.

I guess golf would be in this category?
not that it compares to that other thing.

hee I listened to the Crash Test Dummies when I was in grade 6... never thought he'd be inspiring me to workout years later!

I don't consider myself a foodie, I take pictures of things I like - to remember them, to remind myself, to practice photography, to share with people (like a review of the restaurant) and because food is not only good to eat, sometimes it is good to look at.

I take pictures of my food at restaurants and things at home that I think are especially yummy. People think I'm weird, but my food photos on flickr are some of my most viewed.

I usually keep mine in a zip-up pocket on the sweater i'm wearing... but when it gets hot outside I'm not sure what to do.
Anyone have any recomendations for a good arm-band type iPhone cases?

I got carried away adding to my 1000 feats, I accidentally added 11 sets of pull-ups. I'm still only at 6 sets of practice pull-ups.

wow, great idea, I might have to steal it. I've never donated blood before either because I'm scared, but if I can handle the H1N1 flu shot I know I can do that too!

I saw the go wild feat as no processed foods rather than just eating local - I feel as long as you make the effort to do the best you can when it comes to making the right food choices, everything will be fine.

I made slow cooker oatmeal that I tried for the Whole Grainy feat. It has become my breakfast of choice these days... Instant oatmeal packets are so disapointing to me now.
