Workout
I paid for walking out
Jess found out I walked out on Taj at Buff Yoga last week (actually I told him, because he asked how it went). So he made me work extra hard today. And today wasn't an easy class to begin with. Although we did have extra breaks because there were a lot of new people. I was shaking the entire class.

I just did 16 more minutes of Running and Walking!
Workout
nothing exciting. just spin.
that is my only workout today, and i almost didn't make it. i had to go to the doctor before the gym today and i scheduled my appointment with enough time to get to the gym. but things at the doctor took a little longer than expected. i ran straight to the subway (which of course was going local today). got to crunch and class was full.

I just did 45 more minutes of Cycling, Spinning, & Rowing!
I just did 45 more minutes of Running and Walking!
im sore and i did it all by myself
no classes or trainers recently. i woke up sore today. just wanted to say that.
I just did 60 more minutes of Dancing, Pilates, & Aerobics!
I <3 Crunch
Going to Lucille Roberts today made me appreciate it even more.
Workout
I walked out (and I feel great)
I think the more I walk out on subs the easier it gets. But really I don't need to feel bad. Right? It's my workout thats lost if I stay in a class I don't enjoy.

The only thing buff about buff yoga today was the pushups
There was a sub today. She made us do like 40. It was a very disappointing class. Before class she asked what kind of things Jess normally does. Mario showed her some exercises. She was planning on using the weights, not just turning it into a regular yoga class (like so many of the subs do), so I figured I would give her a shot.

I hate that I can't comment from an iphone
The title has nothing to do with my workout, but I just wanted to get that out. There was so much I wanted to comment on today, but whenever I click the box from my iphone, the keyboard won't come up and I can't type :(

The fire alarm went off mid spin class, TWICE
We were about 20 minutes in and a light starts flashing. Then came the beeping sound. Tomas said no one informed him of a fire drill. He opened the door and saw people walking out so told us to go. We get upstairs and someone said it was fine and we could go back to class.

Stepped away from the computer
After yesterday's long day ending disappointingly without a workout, today I took some time for myself. Got to the gym early (thought I had to be an hour early to sign up for TRX. Not necessary today. There were like 5 extra spots). Ran a bit, because I need to, now that I signed up for a race. TRX was great.

Tweeting while Ellipticalling makes me do impulsive things
Like registering for races...I was checking my twitter and saw NYRR tweeted they opened all their races until the end of the year. So I signed up for the 5M Marathon Kickoff on October 31 (I'm telling you all now so you can put it in your calendars to come cheer for me. Or run with me?).

My favorite class
Great class, but when did it get so popular. Today there were so many people it was really hard to move.
i actually noticed the blog. in the url recently, but then i maybe it was always directed there when i typed socialworkout.com and i just hadn't noticed it before.
also, i'm loving the changes to 2.0

I am by no means an experienced racer, but I did a couple. If you can run 6 miles, then definitely go for the the 10K. About the hills, you can always practice elevation on the treadmill, but the best would be practicing the actual course.

yes! come to 2.0! are you doing the mud run? why was I the only one that commented on that?
@sandyliz you don't have a crunch membership anymore?

I also start my weeks on Mondays. Sunday is my day off.
What time is Spin on Thursday? Maybe I'll join. There's TRX on Thursdays? I usually take that on Friday mornings at Union Square.

I was thinking of you today. I was at Santa Monica Pier and they have a Trapeze School there. (It's a branch of the one in NYC) I was reading the brochure, and it says they have aerial silk classes too. Check out their website: trapezeschool.com

The challenges I liked best were Feats of Summer and Feralicious. I like yoga, but sun salutations as the sole challenge does not interest me. I need options. Besides I don't even know how to do a sun salutation, and the guide posted a couple months back when it was a feat just confused me.

I once saw a guy and his young son walking barefoot at the santa monica farmers market. The streets were not clean.

I wish you didn't ask because now I really feel like I should do it. But that would mean I'd need to get serious about training.
I didn't realize Bronx was this weekend. I wasn't really looking.
Posted in response to: So now that MMM is almost over, what really counts as activity minutes?

there has to be some truth to this because i noticed i sweat more now that i workout regularly

running in this humidity is hard, but at least you actually do it. i gave up running for the summer. and i try to run on the treadmill, but it doesn't usually happen.

@korn-those minutes should definitely count. I remember hearing someone logged minutes they held a camcorder at a graduation. so pretty much anything goes in this challenge.
@butwhat that day was about 2 weeks ago. i did take 3 classes. but all that was only 2 1/2 hours. and that was a one time thing.
