Workout
If I Do Another Quarter Turn Up The Bike Pedals Will Lock
Spin instructors usually use a scale of 1-10 when talking about how much resistance you should have on your bike. I like this way. If the instructor wants you to add resistance they will increase the number that they say you should be at. "Start with a resistance of 6. Now turn up your resistance to an 8, like you are on a steep hill." This makes sense to me.

Am I The Only One That's Not On 2.0?
I clearly did not read all the memos Oliver and Co. have been sending out about 2.0 because I JUST realized that people were on it and actually using it! All these workout posts I have missed reading! I will admit that I like the simplicity of Beta more.

Crazy Swedish Boxing Instructor
I took cardio tai box for the first time yesterday but it was actually a sub who taught the class and he was insane. In a good way of course. Super high energy class and crazy fast techno music. And I'm sure everyone was pushing themselves extra hard because the instructor was also really good looking. hahahahaha

I just did 45 more minutes of Weightlifting, Circuit Training & CrossFit!
I just did 30 more minutes of Running and Walking!
Workout
Pilates Reformer Is Sneaky
I spend 60 minutes in class and do not sweat AT ALL. It's fairly slow paced, the instructor gives us a few seconds to rest between sets and because we keep having to change the settings on the machine we get some time to breathe and recover. I always doubt how much "exercise" I'm really getting.
But then the next day I wake up and cannot get out of bed because my entire body is sore.
I just did 60 more minutes of Dancing, Pilates, & Aerobics!

Ruined By Food
All the junk I've been eating because it's summer time is completely negating all the time I spend working out. It's hard to say no to ice cream when it's 95 degrees outside. Also with all the people visiting and wanting to eat everything NYC has to offer I am never hungry and always full.

Easy Practice
Last practice before the dragonboat races this weekend in Flushing. Not too many people showed up so we all fit in one boat. The water was super choppy so there was a ridiculous amount of splashing going on.
I'm racing on Saturday at 10am and 3:12pm.

Workout
*yawn*
The first time I took pilates reformer I was amazed at how hard it was when the movements are really quite simple. On Tuesday I took another reformer class and didn't get that same feeling.
60 minutes and I did not sweat AT ALL. I was wondering to myself if this was even a workout because there was no sweating?
Workout
Uninspired By Spin
I dislike when I go to spin class expecting one of my favorite instructors and I get a sub! Usually it's ok because the sub will either be a good instructor too but play bad music or play good music but be a bad instructor. I can handle one or the other.

i agree. if i was a guy i think it would be a little weird to have a female coach. nothing against her abilities as a coach, but i think her being female changes the entire team/coach dynamic that occurs when you have a locker room full of testosterone filled teenage boys. it will be interesting to see how they do this season. i will be cheering for her.
