Workout
Long and shorter of it all
Six mile stop-and-go long run up a hill int he 92 degree heat and DC humidity yesterday - The whole run was within the time limit I set for myselfin training, including a 6 minute stop to pick up a paycheck - but I should have gone slower and NOT stopped as often. But whatevs, honestly it is the longest run since the marathon so I'm okay with that.
Workout
Why don't I do this more often?
Made it to the gym last night, and again this morning - which sits in for my usual in-front-of-the-television power hours of situps and lunges.
and MAN, while I usually do statis lunges, the walking ones hit completely different parts! I couldn't finish my other sets! YAY!
I left yesterday with the thought "damn i feel good, why don't i do this more often?" . So I will.
Workout
Clean that Shizzle
More walking, and more - that's right you guessed it - CLEANING! Since my rent is payed in cleaning hours, I logged several more yesterday and hauled around boxes of books and old electronic equipment. This apartment is endless, and there is apparently a mutant mineral that amplifies the production of crap within the walls.
Ex-hausted.

Boat Show
We drove up to Connecticut this weekend for a boat show for the boyfriend's work - lots of sitting in a car. No joys about that. HOWEVER I did spend a few many hours loading and unloading seventeen heavy wooden kayaks, and getting people in and out of them. I used my off-time for cartwheels and yoga stretches, and ended the day sunburnt and exhausted.
Workout
Moving Again!
Alright alright so I have been completely absent from posts - but I HAVE been logging my minutes!
Workout
Still at it
I haven't posted my workouts for more than a week, but I've been doing them! I've been waking up and doing weights, circuits, etc. and this weekend I spent an entire day hauling boats around and another day farming! With my best friend visiting from Florida, my walking minutes are increasing steadily!
Workout
Man-o-WHAT?
I was hoping to get some ocean swimming in this weekend because the FL water was so warm, but alas, stingers prevented it. However, there was a pool, and the beach provides for lots of wonderful long walks.
Workout
Back on the pavement
Five mile run - slightly sluggish but AWESOME!
First run since the marathon - and first since the massive hangover of croquet weekend. I have never had a run that was so effortless, so simple, like the moving forward was as reflexive as breathing.
That said, I was blown away by the optimism of my marathon recovery run. Yay miles!
Workout
No longer grounded, back from Europe
We walked an average of 8 miles a day around the city of Paris and the countryside town we stayed in - this does not include transportation.
Oh, also there was that marathon I ran - it was hard. Very emotional. But not as physically hard as I expected. I am feeling great and felt great even the day after - although I was tired.
