pool running!
catch up from yesterday...ran in the pool for 70 min with a friend, about 35 min of intervals

spinning for an hour, hill-heavy class. Legs a little sore from lifting last night, but not too shabby...followed by lots and lots of pushups. Spread out over a large interval of time. Some may have been done girl-style....shh....

the usual - squats (feat accompli!), heel raises, lunges, reverse lunges, walking lunges, hamstring curls, plyometrics, and finally tried the intimidating-looking glute machine...

50 min with hills, short sprints, long sprints, etc mixed in

went back to the gym this afternoon for some upper body weights (and pushups!), a little bit of calves and quads, and some light core work.
I can do 3/4 of a dip and 1/2 of a pull-up...

45 min of elliptical intervals to wake me up this morning (15 x 1:30 hard, warmup, cooldown), and 0.75 miles of barefoot running - feet getting stronger slowly...

Track workout translated for the elliptical: 12 x 1:30 hard with 30 seconds easy in between, warmup and cooldown, for 40 min total. Finished with half a mile of barefoot running.

can you run in the pool? I did that for a solid 2 years and it kept me in decent shape...swimming with a pull buoy worked for me too. And when truly desperate, I used the machine at the gym where you just pedal your arms in circles. Good luck!

so I'm really small, and my baseline is definitely a fraction of a pullup...this will be interesting
