"Sleepyhead" - Passion Pit
Had a hard time getting out of bed today, but finally made it to the gym and got a pretty decent workout in. Did 40 minutes on the arc trainer jam, 20 minutes on the bike and 20 minutes of weights. Hoping the sunshine can wake me up a little today and put a little light into my life.

Hi!
So, I still haven't blogged about my workout with Brian Schneider! And I'm not going to now because it's a lot of long awesomeness! Now on to the blog!!!

Treadmill 1 hr 5 1/2 miles
Oowee. Wow, 5 miles on the treadmill. This is crazy, I m pushing myself to a new number I never seen before in my entire liiife! 5 miles?!!! un heard of!!!!1 hour of the treadmill?! Really?! I def need new running shoes. Did I mention it was on an empty stomach. Seriously.
Workout
On Fire
Woke up and headed straight to the gym. Got on the treadmill for an hour on a empty stomach. Having a MD/xbodybuilder as a roommate kicks ass. Treadmill 1 hour 4 1/2 miles. My hamstrings started getting tight after 30 mins but I listened to my body, pushed myself but was aware that if I did anything stupid I would hurt myself. Wow 4 miles, I can't believe it.
Workout
Dragged myself
Thursday night I dragged myself to the gym after work. It was the first day of what I call my" Women hood" and it was a bit difficult. I needed to have some red line and that helped a great deal. I did my first 1hr cardio session in almost a year.
Workout
"Courageous Cat Theme" - New York Dolls
This is my theme song for the day as I was once in a band called the 'Action Cats'... so 'Cat' and today I was 'Courageous' enough to ride my bike in the busy streets in Manhattan with no fear. Not sure how that happened, but I was stoked. I was on my bike and the next thing I knew... there I was just cruising along.
Workout
"Half Asleep" - School of Seven Bells
Today's workout was a 5 mile walk up and around East Harlem. Lots of folks getting ready for what appears is going to be a quite festive Puerto Rican Day manana. It was a day of rainy weather and cool breezes, but nice to be outside. Got my very first bike tire pump at the local bike shop. I have 'Tubular" tires which apparently means they are glued onto the bike rim.
Workout
"Horizons" - Son Ambulance
Sun's coming out over the horizon today. Did a nice walk around the west village and over to Soho. Then made it over to the gym. Legs are a little sore from my race last night, but did 45 elliptical-tastic minutes and 15 minutes on the bike, followed by 20 minutes of weights. Aren't all old rabbit-eared TV's supposed to self-destruct (not work anymore) today?
Punk Workout the Third - Skateboard Squats!!!
This one's easy:
1. Put your board against a wall you don't particularly like.
2. Put your back against the board.
3. Keep even preasure against the board, making sure your back is flat, and bend your knees slowly until your quads are parallel to the floor.
Workout
date canceled and i'm pissed
so i did 45 mins of spinning with Kenneth at Union Sq crunch, 10 mins of rowing machine, 10 mins arm weights, 10 mins abs...I rushed out because I had a date. I really wanted to go to the 90's movie dance class thing ...but I didn't think that I'd have time to shower and pretty myself up. date calls after his rehearsal and "feels sick" and cancels our movie. Lame!
Workout
"P-p-p-poker Face, P-p-poker Face" - Lady GaGa
Just got done running the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge 5K for New York Presbyterian Hospital. We had some stealthy black and white race singlets to motor us through the rain and fog (no leotards though). Somewhere along the run, I got Miss GaGa's song in my head and it carried me to the finish. It's so funny the song that gets stuck or 'pops -up' in your head during a race sometimes.
Workout
Morning Cardio-Jillian Michaels
I want Jillian Michael's abs. Weds morning I hit the treadmill for 30 mins before going to work. I skipped out on Mon-Tues workouts because I was experiencing discomfort in a tooth that had root canal last wk. I don’t know why Vicodin is prescribed, it doesn’t take the pain away it just makes you high, and Im so over that feeling.
Workout
BBQ, Fight Quest, White Jeans... Oh yea and I worked out too...

Workout
Fit tv. Gilad.
Gosh I remember when I was younger, say about 6-10 yrs old I use to watch Gilad on tv. I loved it, watching them workout in a beautiful setting was just amazing at the time. On Saturday I spend the night at my friend’s house in Queens and I accidently turned on to Fit Tv, and there he was. Gilad has not changed a bit. Wow, he looks good. So we connected again and I did his 30 min full bodywork.

Do you need von-Sass to plan a Power Dance Walk Parade? We are at your service.

HOT PINK!
Hot pink is HOT! vonHotttie and I went to the midday strip class with Kyra. It was so fun and sweaty. I adore her. She super low key and fun- she makes you feel like stripping is totally normal...like we are at soccer practice. von and I wore Hot Pink lipstick for the occasion. In fact, we decided to wear hot pink for EVERY occasion this summer. It's like a must for this summer.
Workout
"Get Ready" - Sublime
Get ready for summer, all 66 degrees of it. Went to Crunch on the upper east and did a workout for 60 minutes with the elliptical, bike and weights. I'm getting my knee ready for a race tomorrow, so I didn't want to go too bananas. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Happiest Birthday wishes to my awesome and amazing Mom today!
Workout
Have I graduated from the boxing class?
Not that I wouldn't ever go to the boxing class again, as it's an effing awesome workout. But, I dunno, since I've taken to sparring with my roommate and am practicing all my kicks, I'm not sure the cardio-intense Everlast class is my thing. How does one "go to the next level" if they feel like they've mastered a class??
Anyway, yesterday's workout:
Core work:
100 bike crunches
