Sweat. It. Out. Marion's class today at Ride the Zone in East Hampton was awesome. All the sweaty bodies were packed in the studio; following her energetic lead. She has a way with words when she's on that bike. In the middle of our climb she said, "We all have something going on: maybe a rough Friday night, a struggle in a relationship, or something that you just can't fix.
Summertime After a hectic June, I've now fully embraced summer and am thrilled with my two month departure from the city.
High Voltage I really can't describe the energy today at Ride the Zone in East Hampton. You truly would've had to been in today's 10:30 team zone with Marion and Carrie to really appreciate the unbelievable vibe that touched everyone in the community.
Workout Song of the Summer: Rock Your Body by the Black Eyed Peas(my prediction) plus SW buzz at RTZ in East Hampton There was so much excitement today at RTZ in East Hampton! I arrived about 30 minutes early with coffee to catch up with L and M.K. before Marion's 10:30 Cyko Zone. We were all a buzz because Marion added a surprise restorative yoga class following her 10:30, downstairs with Jessica Bellafatto. Hip openers immediately after Cyko Zone--brilliant; I was thrilled to participate.
Hangovers in the Hamptons didn't stop us from Riding the Zone! Sass & I shared a house in East Hampton this weekend with Mo-rizzle and a bunch of people, and somehow talked them into doing Ride the Zone East Hampton with Marion on Sunday morning.
Summer is around the corner! A great weekend in East Hampton! The imminent summer energy was high at Ride the Zone. We're turning the corner! Marion's 9:30 cyko zone was as she describes: "on the insane side of things". We raced up a hill while adding resistance nine times. Yes, nine excrutiating times. I am so excited for Ride the Zone, they have so many exciting things happening.
Ride the Zone AMAZING spin!! 45 minutes of serious spin insanity. Marion continues to amaze, she is the spin guru, no doubt. Music and moves and workout unmatched by any other workout ever. Am in serious awe, as per usual.
sweat, steamy windows, and trampolines Workout: RTZ charity ride in East Hampton Intention: send love, strength and support to Haiti ride: totally intense and super advanced. Top three intervals: Heavy climb with hands behind the back in the saddle and then out of the saddle. It is all in the core. Holy smokes.
Military Attack Marion's riding us into the New Year with force. We climbed for 10 minutes adding resistance eight times--- the eighth time really killed. The first six minutes we kept a strong cadence, like a one, two, one two beat. we climed to "it's gettin hot in here" for the last four minutes and we slowed the cadence down to a one.two.one.two. beat.
2010! Resolution Ride Marion's resolution ride was an ass kicking 60 minute ride with lots of suprises. The class was sold out 10 minutes after the Wednesday at noon reservation policy and there were 35 people waitlisted. So I'm clearly not the only addict!! To start the celebration ride, she had a piece of stationary, a pen, and an envelope at each bike with our first and last names printed on the envelope.
Last ride of 2009!! Marion delivered an amazing N.Y.E. Day ride in East Hampton. Her mantra was to reflect on the intensity of 2009 and to come together as a group to create great energy for the New Year. So as a group we sweat like crazy, cheered for the shout outs, and worked together as we climbed intense hills - and raced inbetween rolling hills.
FOS 19: Family Time I took my Dad to spin class on Sunday. Yes. My dad's a pretty sporty guy. He occasionally crews on some 30-40 ft boats, runs 5 or 6 times a week. Not fit but sporty. I came home raving about the Team Ride on Saturday, so he figured he'd try it out. I give him massive props for not getting off the bike, but he did stop.
