hi I really found this article helpful for people looking for any kind of place to have fun to be honest. For me for example the most important place would be the pharmacy I buy my Life extension pills from and I wouldn't change that for anything in this world.
Health Clubbing Think polished concrete floors, and raw metal railings, and decadent, fur-covered ottomans: Equinox MePa is as close to night club as a gym can get. And that's not necessarily a bad thing...
workout out at 6:30am and 6:30pm!!! today, I left my apt at 5:40am for 6:30am IntenSati class with Natalia. GREAT class... GREAT class... my body is finally adjusting to the change, it took abt 2 wks.... after IntenSati, then went back uptown, to home to change for work and then at 6:30pm took spin class with Darryl Gaines... his class should be called spin running..
intenSati Warrior Challenge: Day 7 (I co-create my reality) I am free / to focus / on the love / I have to give / I will face the challenge / I will embrace the challenge / I am determined to do it / passionately / I am giving it my best / My best is getting better / I choose gratitude forever / I will stand the test / I will lay my fears to rest As above / so is below / this is / what I know
intenSati Warrior Challenge: Day 6 6:30am with the powerhouse that is Natalia. Class was hard for me today, even harder than it usually is at the crack of dawn. Hard to focus, hard to catch my breath. It got a little easier towards the end. I'm not sure why it was more difficult than usual - it was the same routine as it has been my last couple classes with her. Not enough sleep?
intenSati Warrior Challenge: Day 3 (get into the groove) Another high energy 6:30 a.m.
intenSati Warrior Challenge: Day 2 Let me just get this out of the way and say it once: 6:30 a.m. is a great time to workout. 4:45 a.m. is a masochistic time to wake up so that one can make it to the 6:30 a.m. class downtown. So having said it...
Wired Warrior Challenge #4 Today I took class with Zack at Equinox 17th Street…on 2 hours of sleep. Zack was amazing, totally inspiring and uplifting, and my body couldn’t keep up. [click title for more]
Speedball, Pushups, Abs, Pullups Had a great morning at the gym - took Steve's Speedball class (my Sunday morning staple), then did a bunch of abs, pushups and pullups. Trying to get some of those feats knocked out.
Wired Warrior Challenge As a part of being the Wired Intern with all of my body-media, I will be tracking my progress as I take on a 30-day IntenSati Warrior challenge. [click title for more]
Feralicious workout #2 Elliptical, lifting, lots of core work. Not quite feral, but getting there.
spinning my way into the weekend Took a spinning class today. Hope it helped redeem my pizza binge last night. Worked until after 8 and left frazzelled and still not done with the project. Starving, no food, ended up gobbling way too much pizza, although it was whole wheat crust with artichokes and mushrooms,it was still fattening! Need to squeeze into that sexy dress next weekend, without any bulges. Sigh!
Buddy Pass I always enjoy testing out a new gym on a friend's buddy pass. It's cool to see other people's routines, get some tips, some social time in, and just see some new face while you are working out on new machines. It's almost like a mini vacation! (I DO love a good hotel gym). Cardio: 30 minutes (forced by my friend) Stretching: 10 minutes
I am in love with Steve Feinberg What do women look for in a man? Tall? Check. Good looking? Check. Athletic? Check. Positive Attitude / Motivating? Check. Serenades you during Speedball? Check.
happy birthday to me! Freezing cold out, but I managed to start my personal year off right with 45 minutes of sweaty cardio, and some abs
been there, done that, got the T-shirt A fabulous time tonight at socialworkout's eat.sweat.blog after-party, coupled with a very pleasant 40 minute cardio workout (treadmill jogging and recumbent bike), foam roller self-massage and a few minutes enjoying the eucalyptus steam room at Equinox's beautiful facility overlooking Manhattan's Highline.
Spin Plus Day Four of Unsweetened Just Water Caffeine Free Go Veggie.... Katie B. and I met up with the Equinox crew at 6PM to do a walk through for the 11/4 party. After, I slipped into Shaina Manning's one hour spin class. She was a bit strident and screechy, but certainly full of energy. Lot's of "Go faster," and "Give it all," and I wasn't overly impressed.
Pilates and Dance Subs on the Last Day of August Went to Pilates at 17th & 10th today after work. Liz was subbing again for Ellen. I thought the cueing was better this time (although I do always long to know whether my feet should be pointed or flexed!), and of course I enjoyed the opportunity to use the Magic Circle! The class was solid and accessible to beginners--a fine mat workout, if not mind-bendingly tough.
Cardio Dance at 17th & 10th Tried out a new dance class with Craig yesterday at the Equinox at 17th & 10th. It wasn't my favorite dance class because the choreography (hip-hop, although I think he said he usually does jazz) didn't flow for me.
