Sunrise Salutations I went for the first time last week with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the class. I am NOT a morning person and I began the evil workday energized and happier than usual as a result of the class. The only thing is I am trying to figure out if Amrit's style works for me. My boyfriend was into it, but I am someone who likes to be instructed but not in a very hands on way.
Other classes Does anyone know where else he teaches? I love his class.
Yoga possibilities. OH so I totally rested on Sunday. Like did nothing-at-all kind of rest. YUP. Today I did my usual work out of Yoga and running. Was not in the mood to run today but didn't necessarily feel sore or tired. Yoga was great, 3 full pigeons in class today! I love it!! I am not in the place yet, where I am loving bound revolved triangle.
Wishing I was in Thailand. My morning run was pretty decent. Completed 3miles. I hate that I have a 3 mile ceiling mostly because I just get bored!!!! Hopefully running in Thailand will be better. Took yoga after. Went to the gym for 5pm class before the shift I was covering. Didn't have the greatest class but alas, I burned mad calories.
My firefly impression Hadnt run in a few days so it was a good run. 3 miles. Great Yoga class. Amrit had me demo titibhasana -fire fly -to the class, which was kind of embarassing bc its not really one of my poses if you knw what I mean. I can get into it, but its not pretty and its very awkward. I will be missing this class during vacay. Hope I can get it in enough though!
Finally a good run Monday morning date with David Boreanaz and the treadmill. If I didn't have Angel to watch, what would I do?! Well I got in a good 30 min run and then Yoga class.
Toe shoe twins So sore from Tue night TRX. I opted for a run + yoga. My run was quick and rushed bc I go to the gym later than I wanted to but I still hit 2 miles. Took the afternoon off and BC and I went to the movies. He tried on some Vibram shoes and ordered a pair for our Thailand trip! We can be weird two shoe twins!
Back on the treadmill 3mile run + Yoga with Amrit. AWESOME.
Meditating among treadmills and padwork. I skipped my run before Yoga but thorougly enjoyed my yoga class and for once was not sweating buckets. Went back to the gym for and early Muay Thai class and then Kali. We had a guest instructor which was fun. Then I taught yoga to my friend...we couldn't find a quiet place in the gym so we had to do it in the middle of the cardio area behind the assisted pull up machine! So funny.
Throwing old guys to the mat, as usual. I got to the gym later than I wanted so I didnt reach my 3 miles. 2.5 and then Yoga. Made my kettlebell soreness feel so much better. And uhm...where has everyone been in Amrit's Yoga class? Its been soo empty the last few weeks and today it was back to the mat to mat crowdedness! People fighting for space again!
After a full rest day Sunday I rested. OK I didnt sleep enough. BC was throwing up after his fight and our other friend got knocked out. So it took a while to leave the venue. By the time we got home it was almost 3am. But somehow we woke up early Sunday morning...Finally went outside around noon and then went to the movies. Came home and napped, then went for after fight bonchon.
Shoot didn't do my pull-up training. Morning run went ok, though I did an easy one. Yoga was GREAT but I was beating myself up for not doing pull-ups and not having anyone to help me. Kali was an easy knife drill though I need to get better foot work as always. Muay Thai class -padwork.
Talking myself into staying on the treadmill Sometimes my legs are sore and once I get on the treadmilll I am like...uhmm...maybe I should get off and do the elliptical...THEN I have to talk myself into staying on. Usually if I can stay on for 10 min I will stay on. 10 min is a long time to have to talk yourself into staying on a treadmill.
Running with Angel aka David Boreanaz is over. I got to the gym early enough to do a good run, but my body refused. :( I couldn't talk myself into staying on the treadmill even after I'd already gotten on. And come to find out the tv's at crunch no longer have TNT? This is a problem as I always watch Angel during my runs! WAAAAH.
Recovery time Because I was sore from the Silks ofcourse. Not as bad as last time though. Maybe that's progress? Did 3.5 miles and then Yoga.
I missed my yoga! Needed to do a good run since my ass was eating pancakes and waffles all weekend. Sunday was my official rest day in which I ate more waffles with nutella. Then sat on a crappy bus for 6 hours. Pounded the treadmill. I think I lost my ipod. HMPH. Amrit's class was awesome as always. YAY. Gonna miss it when I freeze my membership. :(
Dehydration is not my friend. Did an even paced run. Planning to do my hard run tomorrow morning before Muay Thai class. Yoga was awesome as usual. Sauna after. Feeling really dehydrated today. Been busy running around and not drinking water. :(
Monday as usual. I did a steady paced, easy jog. Then Yoga followed by sauna.
Today the junkfood out weighs the workouts. I skipped my run and called today a "sort of rest day". In which I did nothing except Amrit's Yoga class. Class was so packed. Crunch needs to get their act together and have more early morning Yoga classes, not just bc I am in need of them but bc Amrit's classes are so ridiculously packed, we're mat to mat, people's mats are overlapping..I mean come on!
back on track? Probably could use a couple more question marks after that.
Oh my standing splits. My run SUCKED this morning. Hip flexors are so sore. Why would u sammich your day with Muay Thai as the bread? Regrets. Yoga was nice though I am starting to realize how much my standing split sucks. I am a big complainer today and also I've eaten chocolate. K, thanks. Going to try to rest this afternoon. I think I might be addicted to the gym.
