Waking up is Hard to Do I *cannot* believe I did it... but sure enough, I woke up at 6:00 this morning, made an egg for breakfast, and got myself to the gym in time for 7:00 spin class.
Summer Day 58, Dear thumbnail, please don't die and fall off... 7am Spin. Wow been so long since I took a spin class. It kicked my butt! But I soooo missed Tuesday morning Spin! Glad to be back! 4pm Kettlebells. Finally learned how to do snatches. Only prob was that it was tearing up everyone's hands! 5pm Muay Thai. Padwork. Worked on counters. Injured my thumbnail. Hope it doesn't bruise ugly and fall off. :(
revolving doors Last night I experienced Nadia Z's "Inner Warrior" at Lafayette Crunch. I'd taken her sculpt class a long time ago when 13th St. was a Crunch mainstay. 9am Sunday mornings, it was always good luck getting into the overcrowded room, even at that hour and day.
Summer Day 34, Assault on my body part 2 7am spin. I hate when I miss this class bc its so fun! 4pm kettlebells. Class was so crowded! I am getting smarter/lazier and taking lighter weights. 5pm Muay Thai. Good thing Coach has been taking kettlebells too. :) Padwork, bagwork. Working on long knees and teeps.
FoS23 Up early and fought the tired to get over to spin class. Always glad when I make it to this particular class - the instructor's way positive and I never feel like I'm that far behind everyone. Plus eis4emily's usually there and it's always nice to know someone in a class.
Summer Day 22, Day 2 of 6x6:30 Woke up, 6:12. 7am Spin. I didn't plan to push myself too hard, but then I just got into the class and everything so I probably worked harder than I should of.... At Five Points: 4pm Kettlebells...we had a contest and both teams tied. NO FAIR! Arjarn Steve gives away prizes now...but no one won. ARGH! I felt bad for being the tail...
FoS20 Gotta get to work so before I forget again... Day 2 of 6X6:30 done (up yet again at 5:20), and second day of spin in a row. Nothing hurts, it just all feels a little rubbery. Muscles definitely remembered they did a spin class yesterday though...
Day, 2. My feats of summer check list. 1. 50 WORKOUTS: DUH. 2. THE MILE RUN: OK this is gonna be hard because I'm more of a 10 minute mile runner...bc I suck and also bc my knee is out for now. But I can probably do it as long as my knee gets better... Women: 8:15.
Maybe, a break from one of my loves... Morning spin...how I missed it -since I didn't go last Tue. But how it kicked my ass with only just one week off? What's up with that? I feel so broken lately! I still tried to push myself as much as I could. Been getting a lot of reading done lately...Went to Flushing today and got a foot massage just to kill some time waiting for my appointment.
m26! Heh... my titles don't really lend themselves to excitement but 26 needed something extra!
Day 25, Capoeira Day 3! My regular morning spin. Bumped into pjs in another class! Its nice to know someone else I know takes early morning classes :) Got a visit from my dear friend urbansherpa who I haven't seen in forever this afternoon! Watched some reality TV and ate together. Then went to see Terminator Salvation with the bf. I can't contain myself from cracking up everytime Christian Bale yells!
Day 20, Spin surprise! I had an appointment today so I couldn't go to my regular Yoga or Muay Thai. So I opted for spin although I never been on a Thur morning. To my surprise my fav spin instructor was subbing! So I decided not to be lazy and I pushed myself in class. AWESOME surprise. Class was crowded too. Walked to Canal Street for work. Food log:
Day 18, Capoeira girls This morning I was glad to go to my favorite spin class, since I had a lot on my mind and just need to spin to an awesome play list. Class was soooo crowded today too! We did a bunch of those "spin-push ups" and my arms are mega sore now. Did some work at home and ran a lot of long over due errands today.
