Summer Day 55, Something bad happened! Did anyone else hear the CRAZY thunder last night? I woke me up! WTF? 12pm Kettlebells. I went higher on my cleans but still can only press an 8kg. HRM. We did windmills today, they were fun. Girls team took second place outta 4 teams!
Summer Day 39, HOLY AWKWARDNESS! I set my alarm weird. Didn't wake up for Yoga. That's ok bc I need to take it easy. Even tho J was not goin to MMA I headed over. I like getting there early to use the studio for Capoeira practice. I did 10 round houses on the bag, each side. Then, I practiced Au, Au one handed, and Au -no hands (can't really do it, its more of a prep exercise)...p.s. Au=cartwheels.
Summer Day 31, how many roundhouses can you do in 1 min? 12pm kettlebells, turkish get ups. I decided to stop being a wuss and went back to the heavier weights for swings and deadlifts. but stayed 8kg on the turkish get ups since its only my second time doing them.
Summer Day 19, Brock Lesner: genetically engineered by the gov't? Walked to work, which I feel I haven't done in a while. No bball this Saturday bc my good friend S. was in town from Cali. A few people asked me to take Kettlebells but I left bc I was going to meet S. Turns out I coulda gone bc he was late! UGH. That makes me a bit cranky but I see S only once a year if we're lucky. So walked around Soho a bit with him and his homies.
FoS6 Yesterday was a bust, but one day off once a week is probably a good thing. Made up for it today:
Summer Day 6, feets and feats. Today I played Capoeira in Central Park=dirty feets. Went to the gym and was 30 min late for MMA class...because the train! It doesn't take an hour to get from Central Park to Kips Bay...hell no, no way. MTA: I HATE YOU! After class...Me + PJs= 4 feets. Me + PJs + feats of summer =5 feats completed

Thank you fellow SW'ers for reading my blog! I decided to head to the Vital Juice event at Union Sq again today. I missed most of Masala Bhangra but I miss the class so much from when I used to go Monday nights -so I had to try to make it. Since it wasn't a regular "Sarina" class, she had a fairly simple routine so it was easy for me to just jump into it.
The start of my excessively busy weekend. Work and then walked to Chrystie to pick up bf from b-ball game. Looked like it was about to rain so headed home quickly. Then out to Muay Thai class. Quiet day at the gym...not many of the regulars showed up! We did clinch knees but after class I suggested to Missy we do clinch exercises for an entire round atleast. I think those usually help with the idea of touching sometimes.
Hungry all day! Walked to work and back with my regular bf's b-ball detour. Then went to the gym early to work with some people on some grappling...I couldn't get most of it bc I had a training session with Missy. We mostly worked on form so she didn't kill me since we had class after. But class definitely killed me! More groundwork stuff after class. Hungry all day! food log:
Day 28, Walked to work this morning. Also walked home with a detour at the park on Chrystie St. Took Muay Thai w/Missy. I feel I haven't seen her in forever! I feel like no one kills me with push-ups like she does...or I been outta shape since I haven't seen her in a while. In other news, I decided to get graded at 5 points this week. HRRM. Supposedly its easy breezy since I am only goin for yellow.
m23 Crunch's Memorial Day schedule is wreaking havoc with my workout routine! Street Fighter was the only class I normally go to that wasn't cancelled. LOTS of push-ups today, bear crawl 2x at the end of class (even more worried than usual that I was going to end up driving my face into the ground), and then the longest squat ever to finish the class off.
Day 22, Who's gym-obsessed? Walked to Canal St. for work. Surprisingly very busy there despite the holiday weekend. I guess people who are gym-obsessed just can't help themselves. On my walk home stopped at the courts on Chrystie St. since bf was playing there.
Day 15, My downfall -red velvet. I woke up buttcrack early for work. Didn't walk bc I was carrying too much stuff...stocking my locker there. When I got home I started baking red velvet cupcakes for my Shoe Fairy's bday party. The problem is you have to taste test your own baking bc you're serving it to a bunch of people! DAMN. I ate 3...the ugly ones and the one I stuck the fork in. They were soooo good.
m16 3 class kinda day (Street Fighter, Hot Yoga, MMA), capped off with tennis in the evening. I was kind of dreading going to the yoga because the only class I could make is taught by this guy whose class I took all the time last year. I'm vain enough that I didn't want him to see me back at square one.
Day 9, Weather is looking better! It was a busy Saturday. Walked to work in the AM and after work, went to my Muay Thai class. It was cool bc some of us shadow-sparred today. Since we're not used to it, it felt like stuttering the whole time! But I think we'll all get better at it. I'm kawawa that I won't be seeing everyone on Thursday nights anymore...
