Scissors on your wrist! Woke up late and missed Yoga..but made it to hot yoga + did 3miles. Then took our new Kali class. Empty hands is a bit easier, but my locks suck. B taught us all these cool locks and throws and illegal jiu jitsu moves! Then took Master Cheetah's class. So many kicks!
How much can you sweat? Missed Amrit's class :( I got all sweaty doing my run before hot yoga class. Then I got even sweatier. Holy sweaty yoga mat. WORD.
I joined the 3K club! It was hard work, but I decided today would be the day I pass 3000 minutes. I was pretty far off. So I did wii fit in the morning. Took Vinyasa with Jess at Union Square. Walked to Kips Bay. Was about an hour early for parkour. Practiced some pull ups and dips. Elliptical. Then finally parkour.
Bind and Switch... My workout the other day locked both my calves in a serious knot. So I took a day off and decided to take hot yoga today. My first disappointment was that Jess was not teaching AGAIN but I saw Bethany was on the sheet so I signed up. When I got to class turns out Bethany was a last minute cancel so we had another sub. I was annoyed, and unprepared to do anything else so

my dislike of Hot Yoga is now justified... As I stated in my Love Challenge post I was going to try a Hot Yoga class. I don't like steamy, sticky air. It makes me feel claustrophobic, but I wanted to push myself. As soon as I walked in the door the hot air hit me but class hadn't started and the door was still open so there was some cool air coming in. But then Jess came in and closed it and class commenced. That is a long class.
even though mohawk pushed me in the middle of a pose... ...today's hot yoga class was absolutely, 100% amazing. It's truly rare for me that everything lines up in yoga, that my balance, my focus, my intention, my determination, and my thoughts all come together and weave that intricate web of support, exertion and purpose that is needed for a completely fulfilling class. Everything aligned and I just flowed.
Hot hot yoga Why, yes I am posting tonight to get the check mark. And to keep the lizzes on their toes ;) Hot Yoga with Jess- like a reunion. Especially because it's msh's anniversary with Crunch, and Mr Mohawk lost his hot yoga virginity. Possibly twice, according to his account of the "adjustment" he received.
i'm so famous. Mr. Yummy called me out on seeing me at the gym all the time. Yes!!! He thinks my pidgeon sucks and that means I "need it the most." Point taken, Yummy. I'll be back next week. Mohawk's pidgeon was amazing (as is Sandyliz') and according to Yummy he has "good hips." I'm jealous. I want good hips.
i didn't know the locker rooms were THAT full... Mr. Yummy!!! I'm back!!! Yes!!! The first hot yoga class since August! I could just feel my body slowly releasing all the tension of the last months. Amazing. The only thing that could have made the class better is if this guy hadn't decided to come into class, drop down his mat, proceed to take of his jeans and shirt, and do hot yoga in his underwear. Yes, his underwear.

Ode to Hot Yoga Dear Jess, I can't believe I spent 4 weeks away from your Hot Yoga. The longest, saddest 4 weeks. Last night was just amazing. I balanced in ways I never have, and stretched in directions I didn't know I could. I chaturanga'd every time you asked, and repeatedly stayed in up dog, even though my knees really wanted to be on the ground.
Feats of Summer - I think Jess transported us to a different layer of HELL!!!! Tuesday night is traditionally an early day workwise for me. Usually the clock turns six and I am out the door. I rush to Port Authority to catch a bus upstate to play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. Yes! I, Killercadoogan am a D&D nerd.

Lookin' Way Hot - #37 I made it official today. I joined Crunch. Only one week into my two week trial, I caved in to the awesome summer deal (saved a whopping $21.48) and bit the bullet. I followed up that momentous occasion with Jess's hot yoga class. Man was it hot!
OMG i have a super-serious "wellness" regime (aka how to screw your insurance) Yay for physical therapy! Last week I decided that because I was ridiculously tense, stiff and achy that I needed a serious massage. Unfortunately, I'm broke (courtesy of Trainer Mike). So, my mom (haha she's a crook at heart, I guess) suggested that I might wanna check and see if my insurance would cover getting physical therapy. Hmmmm.
