so yeah theres too much to do to carve out an hour of time this weekend to go nowhere on an elliptical.  so i spent three hours power shopping and running errands all over town followed by another 3 hours of intense cleaning & puppy proofing of the house.  mopping and scrubbing floors and moving anything chewable.

Is my heart rate up or am I just cold?

More walking.  Did a half hour at lunch and then home from the office.  

Walking:  1:15 total.  

Speed:  fast as possible with stopping for traffic lights

Add in some pushups after I got home.  Light workout, but trying to do something every day.

Cold walk through hell.

Hell's kitchen, that is.  Trying to fit more cardio in my day ... so completed 45 minutes of brisk walking. Still haven't mastered the art of running in the city with traffic lights and what-not.  Done the reservoir and west side highway ... but not going near either of those in this weather.

Wonderful long workout

I really dig indulging in long workouts, when I don't have to be at work early! During these, I often try something new that, sometimes, is worthy of adding to everyday workouts.

Elliptical - 50 minutes

Treadmill - 1.3 miles

Weight machines - 10 minutes

Stretching - 10 minutes

tired legs

Workout: this morning I cancelled out of my 8:30 Ride the Zone. My legs just felt spent--so the sun salutations felt great! I love Central Park in all seasons; in the winter I love how you can see so much of the landscape through the trees.
