Salsa and Guacamole Are Out To Get You
The Center for Disease Control just gave salsa and guacamole their own acronym: SGA, which stands for salsa-and-guacamole associated, and the acronym was necessary because there were so many salsa-and-guacamole cases of food poisoning that it got tiresome to write the whole thing out over and over. So SGA. FYI, one reason SGA cases are so common is because salsa and gauc get whipped up in big batches, and your little bowl of salsa comes from the big bowl, which has been sitting around for a while. Solution, give up salsa a guacamole. Just kidding! Make your own! A few of your favorite recipes, after the jump.

Workout
Salsa with Jose
Just catching up around here, on my workout posts AND on my salsa classes. Monday was the first class in two weeks. It wasn't high impact, and Jose fell back into his nasty habit of demo-ing the move about 1,000 times before letting us try. But it was dancing, and very good for my heart and soul.
Family, birthdays, Salsa, and Portugese
I took a whirlwind trip to Boston for my cousin C's 40th birthday this weekend. Upon arrival, I was greeted by my two nephews while getting off the train which was a fun surprise. My brother and the kids drove to my parents house and we chilled--or tried to chill, and followed suit with Ziah's need to keep everyone moving.

Workout
Salsa Mondays
Back on again with Jose Rosario at Sandra Cameron. My salsa skills progress more slowly than a snail in winter, but they progress.
Workout
Salsa Sundays
Normally I wouldn't count Salsa Sundays as a workout...BUT, we really danced. And an amazing thing happened. Sitting in the resto was Evangelina, who turned out to be a salsa teacher, a serious expert.
Workout
Spiral turn, wrap, and spin....
The end of our January "semester," and I feel some progress. Jose shook my hand on his way out and I said, "We're getting better!" and He said, "A lot better!" That does not mean we're "good," but there is progress.
Workout
Salsa Mondays
This week we learned a spiral double spin for the ladies, and I did some more work on the wrap with back up.... I was sniffling, and hope i didn't give anyone else my cold. Went straight home.
Workout
Salsa with Jose
Brilliant evening. Salsa Sundays paid off, as I knew my moves. Jose let us dance more, and during the open session I danced with one of the regulars who was very good and we had great fun.

Salsa Monday, October Class Three
This time, no Gaby; and I missed the warm up, plus some, but I made it. Stuck around to dance a few during the social hour, and got to dance with an amazing woman. She led at a times, and I was happy for it. Count it.
Sometimes it's worth the risk, though!
