Alas....back to Ride the Zone

I was so happy to walk through the door of Marion's studio today. After taking a break due to being under the work, and receiving numerous emails from my spin buds awaiting my return....today was the day. I needed to sweat like I do when I spin and I needed to close my eyes and zone out to a some of my favorite spin tunes. All is now good in my world.

  • What would you do if you had all the time/ability in the world? Easy! Swim with the dolphins off of Fernando de Neronah in Brazil, climb Mt. Kilamanjaro in Africa, and Machu Picchu in Peru.
  • What's the best thing in your gym bag? A dry pair of leggings and long sleeve T-Shirt. After a sweaty ride at Ride the Zone I am drenched; putting on dry clothing feels so good.

The Million Minute Month begins in eight days. As previously discussed, we aim to mobilize America to log one million minutes of excercise. So I took Carrie's 8:30 this morning at Ride the Zone and picked up a message from my dear friend, Monica from Brazil! Querida! She's in town. We had a lovely lunch earlier this afternoon and I walked up Madion avenue towards home. All of a sudden, I noticed this random guy trying to walk next to me and he started chatting with me, he was a bit off.

Riding the double with Carrie

ride the zone, 7:30-9:15: Carrie's double shot is always a great start to the day. A tough workout with great tunes and laughs along the ride make the crazy ride fly by. Tough switch backs, cyko climb, and tons of races while adding resistance. Love her!

Own it, Climb it, Burn it: Make. It. Happen.

Yesterday's 8:30 spin with Marion was incredible. The energy lately has reached a new level. The sets of arm pulses we've been doing still burn like crazy, but when I glanced around the room as we were doing our fourth set of 50, I was amazed by how strong everyone looked. We also did 100 push ups like it was normal to be doing push ups while sprinting down hill.
