rare morning workout

Since today is the last day of the challenge, I did my last workout this morning before coming in. I am not a morning person, so this was a rarity, but I intended to work out last night and was just too exhausted after a terrible night's sleep. I crashed last night and then actually woke up early and decided to get to it, so that I made sure I completed the challenge.

Check and Check!

The no-snowpocalypse was a good excuse for me to get my last home workout in tonight.  I did 3 10 minute solutions of pilates in my slightly cramped bedroom (working on packing for a weekend getaway!).  Then I made some catfish and homemade brownies and took a bath :)

No better excuse than a blizzard to complete the last At Home feat of the New Year's Challenge! Boss was kind enough to let us work from home today, which I'm doing, but I stepped away from the laptop for an hour to do my usual yoga/pilates blend routine, plus abs work (assorted crunches + foam roller exercises for core), push-ups, lunges, plie squats. I feel good.

wish I could work from home every Friday

Phase 2 of office renovation happened yesterday (Friday), so I got to work from home again. I'll say it again, I get twice as much done work-wise, plus I can do laundry and exercise. I used the opportunity to do my At-Home feat for the week, a combination of yoga and pilates exercises, plus some push-ups thrown in for good measure.

Social Workout HQ is located on the 12th floor of one such building, and our neighbors in the warrens of halls include design firms, PR companies, modeling agencies, and who-knows-what-they-do businesses with intriguing names like Gigantic, Inc. And that's just on our floor. Down on the 9th floor, around a few bends in the maze, is a Pilates studio called Mongoose Bodyworks. How Many Sit Ups Does and Hour of Pilates Count Towards?

And how many licks to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know. But I think I'll count 100.

I also did 59 pushups throughout the day, 9 of which were boy ones! I did 10 half assed minutes on the treadmill and 15 on a precor machine.

Posting a day late, so this post is actually for Wednesday: Ugh, two crappy nights of sleep in a row. Sleep log: tried to go to bed at 12:00, actually fell asleep around 1:00, woke up just before sunrise, puttered around, went back to bed until around 8:30.
