worked out despite swollen and sore muscles
So, day 2 of really super, horrible muscle soreness I still dragged my little self to the gym. I was hoping to spin, but the class was full of all these new years resolution people. So, I went to WellSCULPT and it was surprisingly ok. I mean, I can barely go from sitting to standing but I can still do a sculpt class miraculously. Maybe I am a badass after all!

Ok my muscles must have atrophied during all my super light workout days while on vacation. I took 1 Yoga class and 1 Muay Thai class yesterday... I woke up today like someone pummeled the crap out of me. WHY?! Granted the judo push-ups yesterday were killer but I was out of breath during bag work. What is my problem?!
Mandatory rest day!!!!!
I was wrong, Aug 29th was my last rest day, the day of my friend's wedding. WTF? That is complete madness!!! I woke up at 3am with my arms in complete PAIN. Inflamed muscles, feeling like they were gonna explode! This has happened to my legs before and I usually try to elevate but I could not figure out how to elevate my arms, all the pillows started making me hot and it wasn't working anyways.

Sept Day 16, Celebrity sitings, sky falling during savasana and taking a mini-break.
I just looked back at old entries to find out my last rest day was Aug 31?! BAD! I am pretty sure I am overtraining again, although I haven't quite hit the wall yet. I was totally wiped out last night...walking through the San Gennaro festival totally made my legs ache. OH and I forgot to mention the 2 celebrity sitings!

Sept Day 15, Fried oreos don't taste as good this year....am I really saying that?
1:30pm Mini Bhangra class w/Urbansherpa
4pm Kettlebells. I officially went up to 12kg for presses, but I am still mostly doing push-presses. When we worked in teams I noticed how much lighter the 8's started feeling! Don't get me wrong it was still hard to see-saw press set after set!
5pm Muay Thai. Padwork.

Summer Day 64, I think there are no more feats I can accomplish.
7am Spin...Where is James P?! I noticed his name was crossed off on the sign in sheet, I was tempted to hop on the treadmill or elliptical instead...but I did wake myself up in time for spin and I thought I might bump into pjs...which I did! But I did not love the class. I didn't really understand what was goin on for most of it and I was daydreaming about Capoeira combos the whole time.

1pm Muay Thai. Punch and roundhouse exchange. I need to improve my combos. UGH. Blocks are getting better, especially my parry's.
Got to BK surprisingly early! I thought the trains would be effed. Practiced headstands and handstands.
Holy Rest day...so sore
UGH I wanted to make K. Nat's Muay Thai this morning but I felt like CRAP. Sore everywhere, and I didn't get a good sleep either bc I was in so much pain!
