FOS 12: Cupcake
Today was one of those days where you wake up and you just KNOW nothing good can happen. Everything was just downhill, and by the end of work I was cranky, wet (thanks, weather), and in desperate need of a cupcake for various reasons. I'm prepping for the GREs...every tuesday. That's an extra 2 hours of non-cupcake-time after work. I was not happy.

Feats of Summer Challenge - Dumbbells keep falling on my head...
Not really but the rain drove me inside today. I was expecting to throw on the new kicks and run today. Instead I threw on my cross trainers and did 2 miles on the stepmill and a mile on the rowing machine. I followed that with 15 minutes of stretches I learned in yoga. After that I did two circuits.

Feats of Summer Challenge - The Post Slacker
I have been slacking on the posting lately. I think it's because I stopped writing down the routines. I decided to switch things up this week. I decided to first move my sessions with Mike to the mornings. I also switched my days working out from Tuesday/Thursday with Mike to Monday/Wednesday. This makes me have to get up stupid early to go running with Aaron on the opposing days.

FOS 11: The Ride
Went to Ride the Zone UES this morning. Was terrified of the high intensity of a spin class....didn't see how I could keep going about 20 min in, but honestly once i got off that bike I felt like i could've kept going for another hour! Everyone there was nothing but nice to me, and so supportive for my first time. Marion is a crazy person, she had me laughing and singing along the entire class.
Advice Please: The Slump
After an exhausting weekend visiting friends in upstate NY (what is that they say about best laid plans? How they bite you in the ass?), I'm feeling awful. The diner food left me feeling overfull and overweight, and I'm absolutely exhausted from the endless driving, which is leaving me pretty sure that I won't be able to start the 6x6:30 feat this week as I'd originally planned.

Feats of Summer Day 23 - Mud Bath Yoga
So I took Vanessa's anusara yoga class again. Aaron slept through his alarm so he missed out. Vanessa recounted a story about her trip to St. Johns where she went to a famous mud bath on the island. After being reluctant to get in she took to it and had a refreshing experience from first getting muddy, letting the mud dry and then washing it off in the ocean.

Day 22
Biked to/from work and all around the city - heading down to the Seaport tonight for free music. Only missed one day of working out but I'm feeling it. Tried doing an easy yoga class but was too zonked, gave up and went home.
Tomorrow is NYRR race day and I'm so unprepared. What was I thinking signing up for a race in muggy, humid July?!

Feats of Summer Challenge Day 22 - Making a comeback...
Like I said yesterday I am going to move the FGB theme to next week. I am going to spend a little more time recovering. After breakfast tomorrow I am going to start the water fast. Reason being Aaron and I are meeting to run and the do yoga. I am a little worried about gassing during my workout. And 11am Friday to Saturday is still 24 hours.
Took a break from exercising today!
