Feats of Summer Challenge - Vacation Workout 1

Minus faire I hadn't done any sort of movement since Friday and I was feeling it. I came upstate to help a buddy move and took the early morning time when those slackers sleep in to go to the gym. I have been having a hard time motivating myself during my workouts. But I made my way through a few circuits that included jump ropes, bosu pushups, bosu jump squats, and snatch and presses.

Day 32 - ballet for the lazy

Rode to work and went out afterwards to retrieve my bike - ANOTHER flat!! Down to the Joffrey for more beginner ballet, carried my bike home. Having a hard time keeping motivation going lately and worried I won't make it through all the feats.

Feats of Summer - 300, 222, 23, 18 What do these numbers mean?

So I had Mike do a body fat composition. I went from 23% body fat to 18%. The best part is I went from 217lbs to 222lbs. So I went up 5 lbs and down 5% body fat. I look at myself all day so it's hard to see the changes. But when people constantly tell you that you are getting leaner you just have to believe. Todays session Mike had me do a 300 workout.

Feats of Summer - The Ladder Race

After playing around with my schedule I trained with Mike. I did a high knees warmup. Followed by sprints, Mike kept remarking how fast I got. Mike grabbed the ladder while I did explosive lunges. We did speed drills even though I felt my legs were going to fall off. Then one of his clients showed up and Mike had us do ladder races.

Feats of Summer - Post City Chase Exhaustion

I took Sunday off and resumed training with Mike on Monday. The session started out with some sprints and immediately I was tired. I kept going and did everything I was asked to do but I didn't have the energy. It was bugging me so Mike and I started talking about it. I ate well that day. I rested after city chase. I didn't drink.

City Chase 2009 - An acceptance speech...

First and foremost I would like to thank MSH258 for being my partner. I chose her because she trains as hard if not harder than I do. She is amazing and I hope to do City Chase in 2010 with her. Please if you haven't go to her blog and read her post about the race.

I would also like to thank Lauren at Crunch and Marcia at City Chase because without them we wouldn't have raced.

Feats of Summer 7/23/09 Workout - 2

Due to some scheduling conflicts I did a two a day. I ran with Aaron in the morning and had an afternoon session with Mike. Most of the session was sprint drills. Again forgive my lack of detail...City Chase also has me wiped.

Feats of Summer 7/23/09 Workout 1 - Running with the Devil!

Did my morning run with Aaron. Timed my mile at 6:57 and did some speed drills as well. We took it easy because I had City Chase on Saturday morning. I should have blogged this sooner so forgive me if it lacks detail.

Sunday's Half Century (+9 miles) Bike Ride was Glorious!

Sunday was a beyond gorgeous day, so I decided it was a perfect day to do my Half Century Bike Ridge Feat. And oh man it was!
