Crunch
Dick move, Crunch. Dick Move.
Decided to go for a run on the treadmill after work today, given the crappy weather outside, and as such, stopped off at my "home" Crunch location--42nd Street-- on the way home from the office.
Except when I got there, arrived to a smattering of posters indicating that the 42nd street crunch is now closed.

Fit and Beautiful HEAD to TOE!- APRIL 26
I stood on my head today! Ah for the first time in my life...by myself! I recently did a headstand with some help during hot yoga on monday and I decided to practice at the gym. I did it mostly against the wall, but I did balance on my own for a whopping three seconds. Amazing. I realized that my orginal goal was to do a handstand, but I nixed that.

Days? and ??...I have so lost count. But I know I only get one more day off!!!
Thursday: went to 42nd st crunch with new bikini only to find pool out of commission. Bummer. Realize I hate exercise swimming anyways and is total vanitykini. Do weights for about 45 minutes and then stretch.
3x 10 man-style push-ups with feet on ball +2 extra in last set to tire out.
3 x 20 exerball squats (with ball on wall)

Sogger, Stretching, and Kung Fu Fighting?!?
So yesterday was my first soccer game in my company's soccer league. The closest I've come to the sport in the past 10 years was from kicking a ball around at Galveston one summer, and playing rugby in Houston, so even as I was thrilled to join the team, I wasn't expecting to bust out the Beckham on day 1.

Two good to be not every day....april 16th
Two excellent classes by Carl at Crunch.
1 hour spinning class, followed by a 1 hour chisel of weight training.
I was so soaked in sweat after spinning that I had to take a shower during the 15 min break before Chisel so that I wouldn't scare the other gym members with my rainstorm of sweat.
Ah...two solid hours of challenging exercise...just what i needed.

Ahh folks, back to the city and back to the gym. 40 minutes of cardio and abs at the 59th st. Crunch today with my best partner in crime. We had more fun making funny faces in the mirror while we worked out on the elliptical than maybe the workout itself. Sort of a funny thing to do... look in the mirror while you work out. Maybe laughing while you work it burns more calories? Perhaps it does.

Since C-Day (Jan. 23rd, the day I signed up for crunch), my day-to-day routine has changed a bit. Honestly, I don’t even remember what I used to do with the extra 2-3 hours I had in my day before I started going to the gym (watch TV? Actively avoid writing my MA thesis? Stare at blank walls?). I really couldn’t tell you.
