Summer Day 39, HOLY AWKWARDNESS!

I set my alarm weird. Didn't wake up for Yoga. That's ok bc I need to take it easy. Even tho J was not goin to MMA I headed over. I like getting there early to use the studio for Capoeira practice. I did 10 round houses on the bag, each side. Then, I practiced Au, Au one handed, and Au -no hands (can't really do it, its more of a prep exercise)...p.s. Au=cartwheels.

Summer Day 38, End of the calorie-fests

1pm Muay Thai. I almost didn't take class, but I was there already. I was feeling so low-energy/tired I was starting to think I caught something from being around kids all day yesterday. Probably it was from not working out though! After class I felt re-energized and awesome. We did mostly leg-sparring. p.s. I hate my new leather shin-guards...

Summer Day 37, All kinds of Martial Arts

8am Muay Thai. Strange on and off torrential downpours seemed to have kept people away from the gym this morning. Just 4 people in class! I was back with my regular partner who has taken a while off from Judo injuries. Team Pink is back!

Summer Day 34, Assault on my body part 2

7am spin. I hate when I miss this class bc its so fun!
4pm kettlebells. Class was so crowded! I am getting smarter/lazier and taking lighter weights.
5pm Muay Thai. Good thing Coach has been taking kettlebells too. :) Padwork, bagwork. Working on long knees and teeps.

Summer Day 32, Piss pour the rain

1pm Muay Thai. I had to be partners with a guy who is much better than me. This happens all too much. I don't like getting beat up. Since I've been doing kettlebells I feel its much harder to do an entire round of sit-ups at the end of Sunday class. Before it was easy breezy. Hrmm... I blame kettlebells!

Summer 13, spending more time outdoors.

A Sunday off...will not be a common occurrence for me this summer, sadly. Decided to have brunch on St. Mark's Pl. like the good ol' days in my life. Afterward, shot around the b-ball at Chrystie St. I love those courts. They are really the nicest. I haven't really messed around with b-ball for about 5 years so was definitely a little rusty.

Summer Day 7, Capoeira Roda

Capoeira Roda in Park Slope by capoeirabrooklyn.com. I was nervous about playing in the concrete with my bad knee...I didn't go barefoot ofcourse, I wore my kung-fu shoes. I got in a few good runs but at first I was being cautious about my knee. Plus there were many more advanced players who were sometimes playing kind of aggressively. After the roda we had class.

Summer Day 6, feets and feats.

Today I played Capoeira in Central Park=dirty feets.

Went to the gym and was 30 min late for MMA class...because the train! It doesn't take an hour to get from Central Park to Kips Bay...hell no, no way. MTA: I HATE YOU!

After class...Me + PJs= 4 feets.
Me + PJs + feats of summer =5 feats completed
