Capoeira
Workout
Ninja training and some Yoga.
This morning I taught myself the main parts of the Yoga sequence without looking at my chart! So I practiced for 1 hour and it included my Sun Salutations and my tree posing. I also did an awesome crow and headstand today!
Workout
A day without Yoga and the 10 fold of Karma.
Muay Thai class was brutal. I got grouped with the seniors in class and we technical sparred which was fun at first because I was with my regular partner CSG. That lasted a few rounds until I got switched to one of the much more experienced girls and I was kinda scared! She pretty much kicked my butt for 2 rounds but I held my own and avoided getting into the clinch with her.

Yoga TT Day 14, totally burnt out
My body is sore. I am overtrained...pretty sure. My brain is TOTALLY overloaded. I don't want to deal with people AT ALL!
Workout
No Yoga, what-so-ever
Because I am seriously just Yoga'd the EFF out! But I DID take Muay Thai and Capoeira.
Workout
Yoga TT, Day 9
Class this morning was great bc it was taught by my fav instructor at Atmananda. She is funny and goofy and doesn't make us hold poses for super long. It was a fun class and my shoulder is recovering well. My headstand this morning kind of sucked...I was like WTFORK? And I wanted to blame my injury but maybe it was a focus issue.

Brett Hoebel on Capoeira and Garbage Fitness Products
(We heard about Brett Hoebel through L.A. super trainer Elizabeth Ordway who gave Hoebel top marks. Hoebel made his name at Equinox in New York with urbanmotion, a class that combined capoeira, kickboxing, and house music. He's since gone out on his own, and attracted a crowd of celebrity clients including Karolina Kurkova, America Ferrera, and Veronica Webb.)
I've always been an athlete. I was just naturally good at sports. I could throw a ball straight before any of the other kids. My mom put me in gymnastics when I was two. I always loved to dance. There's just been that movement in me. But I had a wheat allergy and started to gain weight in fifth grade. We moved from New Jersey to California, and I had no friends. But we walked past this karate dojo everyday. There, they don't care how heavy you are, how skinny you are. You come in, you're respectful of the rules, you'll be rewarded. I really excelled. I went to all the classes, and got into sparring. That got me hooked and gave me a lot of self-confidence.
In 9th grade I decided I didn't want to be the last kid to ever go out on date, and I also tried out for varsity teams, so my training tripled. I weighed in 150 for football, then wrestled sophomore year at 120. I was in ridiculous shape. That changed my life in a good way. The secret is inner strength. You can come up with crazy exercises, but if you want to change your body, your'e going to have to change your life. I call it chatter, that voice in your head that's like "I'm too tired, I want to quit." You have to turn that off. That kind of mental strength, knowing you're not going to quit, that's what does it.

Yoga TT, Day 8
Double Yoga classes this morning. Can I tell you that the same instructor that pulled my shoulder, she went for me again this morning! I had my hands clasped but I didn't throw them over my head even a little...just left them there laying on my sacrum and she tried to go for them! I told her NO! I have an injury. RARRRRRR. How can I not be mad? Its pure madness I tell you.
Workout
Ouch, did I really hurt myself?
Oh yeah...I done did it. After work I did a 20 min Yoga sequence and then I practiced somoe headstands and Capoeira stuff. Then something weird happened with my shoulder and I was like OH HELL. So I ignored it and took a Muay Thai class in which I was holding pads...which wasn't that bad untili I decided to go to Capoeira.

Yoga TT, Day 5. Week one is completed!!!!
Today was an interesting day. Class this morning was fab bc urbansherpa encouraged me to never go back to the wall for headstands and i listened to her and i got it, AGAIN! Then during the lunch break I got to play capoeira for like 15min with one of my fellow TT, which was AWESOME and I SOOOO needed that! Then we just did lots and lots of Au's.
Workout
Challenge-less again
12:30pm. 20 min Yoga sequence before MT class and handstand/headstand practice.
1pm Muay Thai. Roundhouse after roundhouse after roundhouse...oh and some leg blocks too. I left class feeling like I didn't want to have to walk anywhere, let alone take a Capoeira class.
